Manisekaran is the Founder and Managing Director of the MAYI Group of Companies. He is also the founder of the Malaysian Yoga Society (MYS) and the Malaysian Association of Yoga Instructors (MAYI), has 35 years of experience in yoga, and is one of the world’s leading exponents of yoga.
He propagates some of the most effective yogic training, adhering to the age-old techniques, and possesses in-depth knowledge of psychology, yoga therapy, the healing sciences, yogic philosophy, and meditative science.
He is also a master trainer of Ayurvedic Bodyworks and traditional Ayurveda; and also an exponent in the secret art of Varma (Marma) vital points mobilisation and resuscitation (used in self-defense, as well as therapy), which is the mother of all martial arts. As an active practitioner of all different branches of yoga, i.e. Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Bakti Yoga. He has more than 25 years of experience as a full-time yoga instructor.
His sharp business acumen is reflected in the expansion of the MAYI Group of Companies. Stemming from a one-person set-up in 2002, the business rapidly developed into a group of companies covering various aspects of the well-being industry. Crediting to his extensive business and management experiences of having to lead a start-up corporation into a multi-national operation in 6 countries, his strength lies in his dynamic initiatives, sharp foresight, and profound understanding of the consumer.
Manisekaran is known for his unique Corporate Social Responsibility approach for industry development. He is instrumental behind the corporation’s recognition which spanned across the nation. He is the Master Trainer in MAYI Yoga Academy, and a certified and registered trainer of the Human Resources Development Fund. In 2016, he was invited to become one of the Speakers in the 8th “Diabetes Complications” Conference & Ground Rounds (DCom 2016) and is the recipient of the National Outstanding Educator Award (Yoga Education) 2016. Manisekaran is also one of the speakers for TEDx TARUC 2017 and represented Malaysia for the International Conference of Yoga in New Delhi 2015 by the Ministry of Ayush India.
